ManorVision is being built in public.
You’re welcome to explore as it evolves.

After years of building automotive businesses and writing extensively for my brands and for industry publications. I kept encountering the same limitation: access to high-quality, relevant automotive imagery.

The best images were expensive and restrictive. The free alternatives were often generic, poorly suited to the North American market, or visually disconnected from the stories being told.

ManorVision exists to fill that gap.

This is a slowly growing archive of  human-made photographs, captured from inside the industry by someone who understands it, its systems, its textures, and its quieter moments.
As written content becomes more important in the years ahead, I believe imagery created with lived experience and intention will become increasingly valuable. ManorVision is both a personal practice and a practical resource,  built carefully, without rush, and shared openly.
“Photography is capturing a ghost.
Writing is creating one.”

I’m Bob Manor

I’m based in the Windsor–Detroit corridor, where the automotive industry is less an occupation and more an ecosystem.

I’ve spent decades moving through different layers of it: retail, wholesale, export, warranty, consulting, and media, building businesses, crossing borders, and working inside systems most people only see from the outside.

Along the way, I’ve written extensively about the industry and helped shape brands operating within it.

I tend to work as a catalyst, part integrator, part instigator, drawn to gaps, deltas, and overlooked details.

ManorVision is a quieter expression of that same instinct: noticing what’s there, capturing what’s fleeting, and leaving behind artifacts that outlast the moment.
